Sugao 1 (素顔1) - Johnny’s Junior (Jellybeans)

Affectionately called “Jellybeans” due to the series of whimsical covers on the Sugao video series, this release includes footage from the Johnny’s Jr. 1st Concert ‘98 series which played Nagoya Century Hall, Yokohama Arena and Osaka Jo Hall from 1 to 15 February 1998.

Highlights
Lots of backstage footage and offshots. A hilarious mixup on a shinkansen to Osaka when a western tourist mistakes Tsubasa and Aiba for Tackey and Akiyama’s girlfriends. Tackey, Tsubasa, Aiba Masaki (Arashi) and Akiyama Jun (Musical Academy) in a baseball hitout. Backstage antics with Tackey and Yamapi, as Tackey tries to steal a kiss. Junior chefs and Johnnys Jrs. in Hawaii for the making of the “Can do! Can go!” PV.

A video “DAT” file is the file format that comes from a VCD. On a PC, you should be able to play .DAT files on Windows Media Player, WinDVD, Media Player Classic or a number of other players.

i did the Hjsplit correctly, it just that when i click input file, i dont see the file on my desktop window, and i was wondering if it was because it was a DAT. file…

Mmmm, not sure about that one. But DAT is a reasonably common file format, so it shouldn’t cause HJsplit any particular problems. Best of luck with it.

hateytb - when you downloaded the files, did you have it save them to your desktop? If not, they may have been saved in “My Downloads” or “Temporary Internet Files”. It would be wherever your computer automatically saves a downloaded file unless you direct it to save it some place else.

OR are you thinking when you open HJSplit and tell it to join that the files will be in that little window? If so, they won’t be there. They will be whereever you had your computer save them to when you downloaded them.

You open HJSplit, tell it “Join” and then when the purple screen pops up CLICK on INPUT FILE then another window opens and it asks LOOK IN—that’s where you browse to find where you saved the file. You click on the file (it will say —.001) It will place that file in the window that says FILE NAME…now click OPEN You should be back to seeing the purple HJSplit form and there where it says INPUT FILE you should see the file you just opened. Now CLICK START. A bar comes up saying “working” When it is finished the joined file will be placed in the same area that the split files were placed. (Be sure to delete the 001, 002, etc. files once you have joined the file to save your space.)

To make it easy for me, I usually save files that have to be joined to my desktop. They are easier to find there. The joined file is placed on my desktop and then I can easily delete the split parts and then move the joined file where I want it to be stored.

as for hateytb’s problem, probably it has something to do with the fact that technically, .DAT files are windows system files (ie NTUSER.DAT, index.dat). By default, if you double-lick or open them, they won’t be recognized as movie or media files so you have to manually open them with either media player, VLC, or the player you choose. hope this helped.

However, I never thought about adding the extension to the filename so I COULD join them :p I don’t have a Mac but I’m up for experimenting. Thanks for the idea! I know you will enjoy watching Sugao 1; it’s terrific ^^
